Kuwait Has Lost To Nepal By 165 Runs

Nov 12, Kathmandu- Nepal has won a wide victory over Kuwait in the ongoing U-19 Women's World Cup Asia Qualifier match.

In the match completed on Tuesday, Nepal defeated Kuwait by 165 runs. Chasing the target of 214 runs given by Nepal, Kuwait scored 48 runs in 13 overs and Nepal won by 165 runs after getting all out.

Before this, Nepal, who won the toss and batted first, scored 213 runs losing 2 wickets in 20 overs with the help of captain Pooja Mahato's century.

Pooja scored a hundred in 57 balls and scored 128 runs unbeaten. Similarly, Sony Pakhrin scored 43 unbeaten runs. A record partnership of 157 runs was also made between Pooja and Sony.

This is the highest total made by any country in this tournament. Before this, UAE scored 211 runs against Kuwait.

After this victory, Nepal has 3 wins and 1 loss in 5 matches in the tournament. In the points table, Nepal is in the second position with 8 points from 5 matches. Similarly, Kuwait has lost all five matches so far.

Now Nepal is scheduled to play against UAE in this tournament on Thursday. A situation has arisen where Nepal must win this match to qualify for the World Cup.

Along with Nepal and Kuwait, hosts UAE and Thailand are participating in the qualifying tournament. The top team in this tournament, played on the basis of double round robin, will qualify for the U-19 Women's T20 World Cup in Malaysia next year.
