Nov 30, Kathmandu- The winner of the Siddharth Bank Nepal Premier League (NPL) will receive a prize of 10 million rupees.
The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) announced that the winner will receive a prize of Rs 11 million during the inauguration of the NPL at the Tribhuvan University Ground in Kirtipur on Saturday.
The runner-up of the competition will be awarded Rs 5 million.
Similarly, the third placer will be awarded Rs 3 million and the fourth placer will be awarded Rs 2 million.
This is the biggest prize in the history of Nepali sports.
Earlier, the All Nepal Football Association had once given a prize of Rs 10 million to the winner of the National League, Three Stars.
The total prize money of the four teams is 21.1 million rupees. This is also the highest prize money in the Nepali competition.
Eight teams are competing in the NPL, which started on Saturday at the TU Ground in Kirtipu.
