Janakpur Bolts Defeated Biratnagar Kings

Nov 30, Kathmandu- Janakpur Bolts have defeated Biratnagar Kings in the Nepal Premier League (NPL).

Janakpur defeated Biratnagar by 8 wickets in the inaugural match held at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on Saturday.

Janakpur, who started batting in reply with a target of 128 runs, completed the target in 15.3 overs for the loss of 2 wickets. Lahiru Milantha played a brilliant half-century for Janakpur. He scored 75 runs off 53 balls and remained unbeaten.

All-rounder Harsh Thaker scored 29 runs. Captain Anilkumar Shah scored 5 runs.

Krish Sole and Pratish Ji took 1 wicket each for Biratnagar.

Earlier, Biratnagar, which batted first, had scored 127 runs after being all out in 19 overs.

Opener Martin Guptill scored 55 runs for Biratnagar. In the process, he hit 7 fours and 1 six in 43 balls. This is the first half-century of the NPL. Another opener Lokesh Bam scored 5 runs while Aqib Ilyas, who came at number three, scored 15 runs. Captain Sandeep Lamichhane added 7 runs. Other players could not perform well.

For Janakpur, Lalit Rajbanshi took three wickets while Kishor Mahato and Harsh Thaker took 2 wickets each. Ben Mike and Mohammad Mohsin took one wicket each.
