Nov 30, Kathmandu- Two people have died after falling from a bus door near the Sheshmati Lambagar Shantitol Gate in Tarakeswor Municipality-8, Kathmandu.

The deceased are Sancha Bahadur Lama, 50, of Kakani Rural Municipality-5 in Nuwakot, and Suntari Ojha, 58, of Tadi Rural Municipality-1 in Nuwakot. They fell from the bus door on Saturday morning. They were seriously injured after falling from the door and died during treatment at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, police said. Similarly, the co-driver of the bus was also injured after falling from the bus. He is being treated at the National Trauma Center. The driver, however, is absconding.

Police said a search is underway for the absconding driver.
