Supporters Protest After Rabi Lamichhane Was Taken To Chitwan

Dec 03, Kathmandu- Rabi Lamichhane's supporters have been protesting as he was taken to Chitwan to record his statement in the case of embezzlement of cooperative funds.

Ravi Lamichhane's supporters demonstrated in Chitwan demanding his release. Ravi's supporters gathered in front of the Agriculture Office in Bharatpur and chanted slogans.

They were chanting slogans like "Release Rabi Lamichhane, Stop Political Vengeance, Give Justice to Rabi." The police stopped the protesters from moving forward from the Agriculture Office. The police used moderate force during the process.

Lamichhane was taken to Chitwan from Kathmandu on Tuesday for a statement in the Chitwan Sahara Multipurpose Cooperative Society savings embezzlement case. The victims had last filed a supplementary complaint against 10 people, including Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) President Lamichhane, regarding the embezzlement of funds from the Chitwan Sahara Cooperative Society.
