Health Minister Poudel Inaugurates Hospital Building

Dec 14, Kathmandu- Minister for Health and Population Pradeep Poudel inaugurated a ten-bed hospital building constructed in Myagde today.

Minister Poudel inaugurated the building constructed in Myagde Rural Municipality-4, Tharpu, in accordance with the decision of the federal government to construct a ten-bed hospital at each local level.

Former House of Representatives member Kedar Sigdel, Constituent Assembly member Ramchandra Pokharel, Myagde Rural Municipality Chairman Shree Prasad Shrestha, Vice Chairman Balkrishna Ghimire and others participated in the inauguration program. With the completion of the hospital building, preparations have been made to provide services from the new building, informed Narayan Adhikari, Chief Administrative Officer of the Rural Municipality.

According to the Chief Administrative Officer, Adhikari, one doctor has been appointed on a contract basis in the hospital. Similarly, two lab staff have been appointed. The building has been constructed at a cost of Rs. 73.45 million.

An agreement was signed with Rishi Shakti Home Construction on 2nd Jestha 2078 BS for the construction of the building. Although the deadline for completion of the building was 10th Jestha 2080 BS, the work has been delayed due to various reasons, the official informed.
