Jan 05, Kathmandu- A woman in her labor has been rescued by helicopter from Rukum West.
The woman, who was in critical condition due to bleeding, was rescued by helicopter on Sunday and taken to Surkhet. According to Chief District Officer Kul Bahadur GC, the woman was identified as Dhanmaya Budha, 24, of Khadi, Aathbiskot Municipality-2.
The rescue was carried out using a helicopter through the Presidential Women Upliftment Program of the Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens.
After treatment was not possible at the Syalakhad Health Post in Aathbiskot Municipality-2, she was referred to the Provincial Hospital in Surkhet. The woman was rescued by helicopter as her health condition became critical.
