Feb 02, Kathmandu- The report of the committee on the Tilganga Eye University Bill, 2081 BS was presented in today's meeting of the National Assembly.

The bill was presented by the Chairperson of the Bill Management Committee, Tulsa Kumari Dahal, in the meeting. The bill, which originated in the National Assembly, was sent to the committee for clause-wise discussion.

29 members of parliament proposed 71 amendments to the bill. Speaker Dahal informed the House that suggestions from experts were taken along with the amendments to the bill and that the bill aims to increase access to eye health services, develop new technologies in the field of eye care, provide quality services, and operate a public university.

The committee had passed the bill on Magh 15. The next meeting of the National Assembly will be held on Thursday, Magh 24 at 1:15 PM.
