Mar 09, Kathmandu- Nepal Sports and Events Management has announced Ncell Axiata Limited as the title sponsor for the third edition of the Nepal Super League.
The NSL is Nepal’s first franchise-based professional football league. The partnership was announced at a special event held at The Plaza in Lalitpur on Friday. Ncell will help strengthen the game of football in Nepal by promoting it and making it a favorite sport of Nepali football fans.
Established in 2021, the NSL is being organized by NSEM with the technical support of the All Nepal Football Association. Representing several regional franchise teams, the league is increasing widespread interest and participation in football across Nepal.
The official matches of the NSL will start on 29 March 2025. The competition will feature seven teams including Butwal Lumbini FC, Dhangadhi FC, FC Chitwan, Jhapa FC, Kathmandu Rangers FC, Lalitpur City FC and Pokhara Thunders FC.
NSL Managing Director Shreyans Karki said that he was very excited to welcome Ncell as the title sponsor of the NSL. He said that the partnership will take Nepali football to new heights.
Ncell Chief Commercial Officer Umer Mohsin said that the collaboration with NSL reflects its commitment to the development of the game. “We believe that football has the power to connect societies and bring about positive change,” he said.
Ncell has been collaborating with NSL since the last edition.
