Apr 04, Kathmandu- Armed Police Force Inspector General Raju Aryal has said that force was used as necessary to control the violent protests in Tinkune, causing minimal damage.

At a meeting of the State Affairs Committee on Friday, Armed Police Force Inspector General Aryal said that only minimal force was used in the face of gas guns being stolen from security personnel, communication sets being stolen, and even attacks on ambulances and fire engines.

At a meeting of the State Affairs Committee on Friday, Armed Police Force Inspector General Aryal said that only minimal force was used in the face of gas guns being stolen from security personnel, communication sets being stolen, and even attacks on ambulances and fire engines.

He said that the royalist protesters had even obstructed the transport of injured security personnel to the hospital.

"The situation became tense after those who participated in the demonstration did not go to the meeting place but entered the prohibited area to clash with the security forces," he said.
