Apr 06, Kathmandu- The play 'Aaturkal' is set to be staged in Japan. The play 'Aaturkal', written and directed by Kedarnath Poudel, is set to be performed at the Subterranean Theater in Itabashi on April 12 and 13.
The team has announced that the play will be staged at Nakano Jiro Hall in Tokyo on April 14.
Director Poudel said that the play, presented by Indreni Theater Pokhara, psychologically depicts the pain, displacement, class struggle, and tragic moments of war in Nepali society.
According to director Poudel, the story of the play revolves around the memories of an old character. He said that the play depicts the loneliness of old age in a profound way.
Actor Kiran Chapagain does not have a solo performance in the play. He has previously acted in plays such as 'Ashwat', 'Bhagwat Tolma Bholaram', 'Rajendra Laxmi', 'Mahasattva', 'Maujang Babu Saheb's Coat', 'Anuttar' and others.
