Apr 11, Kathmandu- On the second day of the Bisket Jatra, which holds historical and cultural significance in Bhaktapur, the chariots of Bhairav and Bhadrakali were worshipped.
Local devotees have been worshipping Bhairav and Bhadrakali since morning. The Bisket Jatra, which begins four days before the New Year and continues until five days after the New Year, is celebrated with great pomp by the residents of Bhaktapur for eight nights and nine days.
It is believed that watching the procession on this day will destroy enemies. That is why this procession is also called Shatruhanta Jatra.
