Apr 15, Kathmandu- Police have arrested the brother of an 11-year-old girl in the murder case of Mangal Bazaar, Lalitpur. The 15-year-old brother of the deceased has been arrested, the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office said on Tuesday.

Bhagwati Bohara, a resident of Mangalbazar, had filed a complaint with the District Police Complex, Lalitpur, stating that her daughter Durga Bohara had been missing since the night of Chaitra 40.

Based on the same complaint, during a search operation, the body was found in a decomposed state in a water tank on the ground floor of Baburaja Awale's old house in Khapinchen, Ward No. 9, Lalitpur Metropolitan City, on Chaitra 29.

After that, the Criminal Investigation Office, with the help of the District Police Complex, Lalitpur, conducted an investigation and after the brother's involvement was revealed, he was arrested and the action process was taken forward, informed Superintendent of Police Angur GC.

He said that he was taken into custody from the Mangal Bazaar area.
