Apr 19, Kathmandu- An Indian student has died in a shooting in Canada.

According to the Consulate General of India in Toronto, Indian student Harsimrat Randhawa was killed in a shootout between two vehicles.

The Indian Consulate General posted on X, saying, "We are deeply saddened by the death of Indian student Harsimrat Randhawa in Hamilton, Ontario."

However, the embassy did not provide details of the incident.

The embassy said she was innocent. The case of her murder is under investigation.

The Indian embassy said it was in touch with the deceased's family and provided all possible assistance.

Hamilton police also issued a statement saying the investigation was ongoing.
