Bhattarai, who had reached Lelep, Phaktanglung Rural Municipality-6, Taplejung, to participate in a program organized on the occasion of the Diamond Festival, marking the first human footstep on Mount Kanchenjunga, was surrounded and locked inside by identity activists and the No Cable Car group, shouting slogans against him while he was going to the toilet.

The No Cable Car group and the identity activists had also raised slogans against UML Secretary Bhattarai. Bhattarai, who had entered the toilet of the Kanchenjunga Conservation Area Management Council, was surrounded by the identity activists and the No Cable Car group, shouting slogans against him. After the identity activists and the No Cable Car group surrounded Bhattarai while raising slogans, the police provided security. Bhattarai had to stay in the toilet for some time during this. The police have already sent Bhattarai to Kathmandu by helicopter.
