May 05, Kathmandu- As part of the federal government's policy to expand specialized treatment services to the province, a burn ward has been established at Bheri Hospital, Nepalgunj.

The ward was inaugurated by Health and Population Minister Pradeep Poudel on Monday.

A 14-bed surgical unit has also been brought into operation at the hospital on the same occasion as per the ministry's schedule for the month of Baisakh.

Sickle cell and thalassemia vaccines have also been handed over to patients free of charge as per the ministry's program.

The ministry has stated that patients will now receive free vaccines through the hospital.
