May 08, Kathmandu- A helicopter has crashed in Uttarakhand, India. The helicopter crashed near Gangnai in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand on Thursday morning, Indian police said.

It is said that five people died and two were seriously injured in the accident. Garhwal Divisional Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey confirmed the accident and said that the administration and rescue teams have reached the spot.

Army, police, disaster management team, ambulance and revenue teams are reaching the spot.

The helicopter was heading to Gangotri. The helicopter belongs to a private company and is said to be carrying seven people.
