May 18, Kathmandu- The Pokhara High Court has adjourned the hearing on Sunday after the submissions of Rabi Lamichhane and Chhabilal Joshi in the cooperative fraud, organized crime and money laundering cases were not signed.
The High Court has noted that the letter sent to the defendants Rabi and Chhabi, who are incarcerated in Rupandehi Prison, to inform them of the submissions was not signed.
A joint bench of Chief Justice Ratna Bahadur Bagchand and Justice Milan Rai of the High Court has ordered the Rupandehi Prison Office to write a letter to explain the reason for not being informed of the case.
"Is the reason for refusing to understand the letter informing the court of the case because it was not signed or is there any other reason why the signature was not signed? Please provide information along with a report on the same," the court order said.
The order has ordered the Prison Office to send a report if the defendant has understood the case. The court has ordered to include such a signature in the file after receiving it.
The court has also ordered the production of the original file with the charge sheet of the cooperative fraud case filed in the District Court, Kaski on 18 Ashwin 2080 and the original file with the charge sheet of the additional charges filed on 5 Poush 2081.
