May 26, Kathmandu- Nepal has performed well in the 9th Asia Goju-Ryu Championship held in Colombo, Sri Lanka on 20th and 21st of this month. Athletes from Nepal have won three gold medals.

Yanoj Maharjan won the gold medal in the senior individual kata category. Similarly, Kareena Puri won the gold medal in the senior kumite -55 kg weight category, while Manisha Ranabhat won the gold medal in the above 61 kg weight category.

Like the athletes, the performance of the referees was also successful. All the referees from Nepal managed to pass the referee exam. The participating referees include Kareena, Manisha, Tilu Rana, Sandeep Thapa and Man Bahadur Bhartal.

A team of athletes and referees led by Ravi Shahi participated in this competition from Nepal.
