May 29, Kathmandu- The government has allocated a budget of 10.19 billion rupees for mid-day meals for students up to grade 5.

Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel, while unveiling the budget for the upcoming fiscal year, said that mid-day meals have been continued. He said that 2.8 lakh students will be benefited from the mid-day meals.

Similarly, to improve the quality of schools, he said that students who have passed graduation will be mobilized as volunteer educators.
