Jun 16, Kathmandu - A new song in the Sunuwar (Koinch) language has been released. The lyrics of the song are, ‘Tungna Tapsyo.’ The song, based on the Sunuwar folk rhythm, has been composed by Amardeep Sunuwar. There is a tradition of singing such songs while enjoying the festival.
The music video of the song has a similar atmosphere, where young people dressed in gold costumes are having fun. It features Sujan Sunuwar, Kalpana Sunuwar, and others. The video is directed by Amardeep Sunuwar.
Sunuwar's composition has been composed by Ram Kumar Poudel. Kalpana Sunuwar has given the lyrics. The video of the song gives a glimpse of Sunuwar's original tradition.
Composer Sunuwar says that the song was created with the intention of preserving their language, identity, and culture. He hopes that it will inspire the new generation to be proud of their language and music.
Sunuwar says, 'When language dies, culture dies. That's why we are creating our identity through songs, music and art.'
