Jun 22, Kathmandu - CPN-Maoist Center Chief Whip Hitraj Pandey has demanded the immediate formation of an investigation committee into the visit visa issue.
Participating in the discussion on various topics on the Appropriation Bill in the House of Representatives meeting on Sunday, Pandey demanded the immediate formation of an investigation committee by implementing the two-point agreement reached with the Maoists, as the visit visa issue is a national problem.
He urged not to delay as the Home Minister had made the commitment to form an investigation committee within a month from the rostrum. Pandey said that even after reaching a two-point agreement on the visit visa issue, the problem has not been resolved yet.
Earlier, the ruling party had reached a two-point agreement with the Maoists, promising to conduct the necessary study and investigation after the House was continuously disrupted due to the visit visa issue. Although the Maoists stopped their protest programs with the agreement, the Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and the RPP have been continuously protesting in the House demanding an investigation committee.
