Jun 26, Kathmandu - Four astronauts, including Indian Air Force Group Captain Shubanshu Shukla, have arrived at the International Space Station (ISS).
They arrived at 4:15 pm on Thursday after a journey of about 28 hours. After some time, the hatch of the space station will open and all these astronauts will enter the ISS.
Shubhanshu is the first Indian to go to the ISS and the second to go into space. 41 years ago, Rakesh Sharma traveled to space in 1984 on a Soviet spacecraft.
Earlier, the mission team had a live chat with the spacecraft. In this, Subhanshu said, ‘Hello from space! Here I am learning like a child. How to walk and eat in space.’
All the astronauts under Axiom Mission 4 left for the ISS at 12 noon on June 25.
The mission was postponed six times due to technical glitches and weather problems.
