Jul 05, Kathmandu - A man has been arrested on charges of defrauding people by promising them lucrative salaries for foreign employment and then sending them to Luxembourg.

The arrested person is Bhup Narayan Chaudhary, 40, a resident of Nawalparasi West Sarawal Rural Municipality-2 and a resident of Konjyosom Rural Municipality-4, Lalitpur.

Police deployed from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office arrested Chaudhary from Lalitpur Metropolitan City-4 based on the victims' complaints that he had taken 1.2 million rupees from two victims, promising to send them to Luxembourg, and then disappeared.

He has been sent to the District Police Complex, Kathmandu for necessary investigation and action.
