Jul 24, Kathmandu - Folk rock band Nepathya is set to embark on a series of European concerts next month. Nepathya will perform concerts in the UK, Denmark, Malta, Portugal, and Belgium.
The tour will begin at Wembley in London on August 9. The band will then perform in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, on Saturday, August 23. The band's concert is scheduled to take place at the Pullen Hall there.
Details of Nepathya's concerts can be found on the hall's website. This is Nepathya's second performance in Copenhagen. Previously, the band performed folk rock in Copenhagen in 2016.
After Denmark, the band will be present in the city of Attard, Malta. Nepathya's songs will resonate at the 'Malta Fair and Convention Center Hall' in this city located in the northern part of the country on Wednesday, August 27.
The band will then head to Portugal, where they will perform at ‘Lisboa ao Vivo’ in the capital city of Lisbon on Sunday, August 31.
The final performance of the European tour will be in the Belgian city of Enthroppen. The performance will be held at ‘Studio Seven of AED Studios’ there on September 3. This is the second time that Nepathya is performing in Enthroppen. Previously, the band performed there at the Arenberg Theater in 2005.
The band last toured Europe in 2016, performing in Hamburg, Germany, and Copenhagen, Denmark. Aside from London, UK, Nepalis are scattered across many small cities in the rest of Europe, so it was difficult to expect a large audience.
Recently, the number of Nepalese in these four countries has increased significantly. In particular, the number of Nepalese who have come to Malta, Portugal and Belgium for economic reasons is high.
Seeing the positive signs of the audience, Nepathya is going to embark on a series of tours in four cities. Local organizers have informed that they are receiving positive feedback from the audience in all four places and tickets for some shows are about to sell out.
Nepathya has been performing effectively in the world's leading cities, especially those where a significant number of Nepali students have gone for studies. This time, the series of tours to Europe has also indicated the diversity emerging in Nepathya's audience.
For this tour, a 14-member Nepathya team, including managers, technicians and artists, is leaving for Europe. On stage, lead singer and leader Amrit Gurung will be supported by Dhruv Lama on drums, Subin Shakya on bass guitar, Neeraj Gurung on guitar, Shanti Rayamajhi on drums and Dinesh Raj Regmi on keyboards.
Arrangements have been made for the audience to book tickets directly online for all concerts in Europe. For that, tickets can be reserved from Nepathya's official website.
