Chief Minister Acharya Urges Not To Refer Patients

Jul 26, Kathmandu - Lumbini Province Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya has urged the hospital to provide services without the need for referrals as much as possible.

Inaugurating the newly constructed 50-bed building of Prithvi Chandra Hospital located in the district headquarters of West Nawalparasi, he urged the hospital to provide all services, except for complex and unavoidable treatments, to provide easy and accessible services to the citizens.

He said, "The financial condition of the service recipients here is weak. Those who are financially unable to go outside for treatment. The provincial government has taken this into consideration and the provincial government's Ministry of Health has taken many initiatives to bring specialist services in every field into operation to make the hospital self-reliant in service delivery."

He said that there will be no shortage of resources from the provincial government to develop and provide services to Prithvi Chandra Hospital, which is a district hospital.
