Sixteen Family Members Go Missing In Sindhuli

Jul 28, Kathmandu - Sixteen members of the same family from Bageshwor, Golanjor Rural Municipality-6, Sindhuli, have been reported missing for the past three days, according to SP Laldhwaj Subedi of the District Police Office.

Police have reached the family's residence, but no one is in contact. Authorities are conducting technical investigations to determine their location and exploring other options. All livestock remain at the house, but the family members are absent. Villagers report that they have not seen the family since Thursday.

The local government had been providing a monthly allowance of Rs 4,000 per person as part of support for an endangered tribe, totaling Rs 192,000 for all 16 members over three months. It has also been observed that the family members slaughtered and ate pigs at home, but the reason for their disappearance remains unclear.
