Jul 28, Kathmandu - The Shramsansar portal, prepared by the government to connect employers and job seekers, has been linked to the Nagarik app. The Shramsansar online portal under the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security has been linked to the Nagarik app.
Minister Sharat Singh Bhandari and Planning Commission member Dr. Prakash Kumar Shrestha jointly inaugurated the portal. The Ministry of Labor has stated that it will provide various services in an integrated manner once it is linked to the Shram Sansar portal and the Nagarik app.
With this integration, citizens will now be able to search for and apply for employment opportunities directly through the Nagarik app on their mobile phones.
Addressing the inaugural program, Minister Bhandari said that this is an important milestone towards realizing the government's 'Digital Nepal' framework and promoting citizen-friendly governance.
Stating that the youth can be easily connected to employment through the use of technology, he expressed his belief that this facility will make the process of finding employment simple, transparent and hassle-free.
He said that the state provides many services, but they are not reaching the target community. He said that Digital Nepal is being developed for that purpose.
Under this new arrangement, citizens will now be freed from the obligation of visiting various websites or going to the office to apply for employment.
Once access to the Shram Sansar portal is established within the Nagarik app, users will have the facility to search for jobs according to their qualifications and apply through the same app with the required documents.
To use this service, citizens will need to update their Nagarik app to the latest version 2.0.83.
This new version is available for both Android and iOS platforms. The ministry has requested all citizens to update the app and take advantage of the new features.
