Jul 29, Kathmandu - In the past 24 hours, 23 people have been arrested with drugs from various parts of the country.

According to the Central Police Newsroom, they were arrested from Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Jhapa, Kailali, Kanchanpur, Saptari, Kaski, Syangja, Sunsari, and Makawanpur.

Two people were arrested from Attarkhel, Gokarneshwor Municipality-8, Kathmandu, with a substance that appeared to be brown heroin, two people from Mechipul, Bhadrapur Municipality-5, carrying a substance that appeared to be brown sugar, two from Nakaiya, Belauri Municipality-6, Kanchanpur, two from Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-2, Kailali, and two from Khutiya Tole, Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-14.

It is reported that 27-year-old Ram Kumar Shah, a resident of Kathauna, Shambhunath Municipality-6, Saptari, was arrested with 2.5 kg of marijuana, two from Imadol, Mahalaxmi Municipality-1, Lalitpur, one from Baglung Bus Park, Pokhara Metropolitan City-2, and one from Ramdi, Galyang Municipality-1, Syangja, with narcotics.

Similarly, seven people were arrested from Kirat Chowk, Barahakshetra Municipality-7, Sunsari, and one from Adamar, Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-13, Makawanpur, according to this afternoon's news bulletin of the newsroom.
