Jul 29, Kathmandu - The Nepal Telecommunication Authority has tightened restrictions on internet service providers providing free WiFi services in the name of WiFi hotspots.

The authority has issued a notice, directing internet service providers to provide such facilities only for a certain period and quantity, as WiFi hotspot services can be operated by telecommunication service providers.

Internet service providers are currently operating free internet services by operating WiFi hotspots in public places. This service provider has provided the facility of logging in and using WiFi for free for one hour. Gorkhapatra reports.
