Jul 31, Kathmandu - The 'chairperson' of the Nagarik Unmukti Party, Ranjita Shrestha, has said that the decision of the party's national assembly, which was held 'in violation of the constitution', will not be valid.

While leaving the Agriculture Committee meeting at Singha Durbar on Thursday, she said that only the chairperson has the right to call a national assembly. She said that she has not called any assembly.

Shrestha claimed that she is still in the role of chairperson as per the party's statute. "I am continuously going about my work, I am not aware of any dispute within the party, I have not called any assembly," she said.
