Nepal Cricket Association Publishes Expenses and Revenue Details of Nepal Premier League

Aug 01, Kathmandu - The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has made public the details of the expenses incurred in the Nepal Premier League (NPL) held last year. CAN, which has faced heavy criticism for not making the details public even seven months after the tournament was concluded, made the details public at a working committee meeting on Thursday.

According to CAN, the 'Total Gross Revenue' of the competition is Rs 276.964.1 crore. Out of this, a total of Rs 201.573.599 crore has been spent on organizing the competition.

Similarly, the income before sharing the revenue with the eight clubs is Rs 75.391,259. Out of this, after distributing 50 percent equally to the eight franchise clubs, CAN has reported an income of Rs 31.650,789.

CAN has reported that Rs 43.740,470 has been distributed to the eight clubs. Similarly, CAN has distributed Rs 70 million in revenue to the provinces out of Rs 31.6 million.

After all this, CAN has reported a total income of Rs 24.650,789 from the competition. The first edition of the competition was held at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur from Mangsir 15 to Poush 6 last year. CAN has set a time of November for the second edition of the competition. However, the exact date has not been made public yet.
