Funds Raised for Rukum West Eye Treatment Center Construction

Aug 01, Kathmandu - Rs. 571,949 has been collected to purchase land for the construction of the Salle Rukum West Eye Treatment Center. The Rukum Surgical Eye Treatment Center had appealed for help for the purchase of land.

According to the same appeal, the amount was deposited in the account of the Netra Jyoti Sangh District Branch, Rukum West, informed Eye Surgical Center Chief Dhan Bahadur KC. He said that 34 people living in the country and abroad have contributed.

According to KC, 597 square meters of land in Musikot-1 Salle has been purchased with a loan from the bank for the construction of the building. He informed that Rs. 1.9 million was spent on the purchase of the land and the necessary procedures, and assistance has been requested.

For the construction of the building, Rs. 28 million has been allocated from the Ministry of Urban Development, and from this, a three-and-a-half-story building will be constructed, said KC, head of the Eye Surgical Center.

It is said that the construction of the building will be done through a contract process, and accordingly, preparations have reached the final stage.
