Aug 03, Kathmandu - Police have arrested a man who was absconding for theft. Aditya Pariyar, 28, of Pushpanagar, Badhaiyatal Rural Municipality-3, was arrested by the police on Sunday.

The District Court had sentenced Pariyar to 4 months and 24 days in prison, a fine of Rs 5,000 and Rs 200 to be deposited in the Victims' Relief Fund in a theft case on Bhadra 17, 2081 BS. Pariyar was absconding after the court imposed the sentence.

DSP Chakra Bahadur Damarpal of the District Police Office informed that a police team deployed from the Area Police Office, Mainapokhar, took Pariyar into custody while he was hiding in Karnalipur, Badhaiyatal Rural Municipality-7, and presented him in court for necessary action.
