Pakistan Supports Iran's Nuclear Program

Aug 04, Kathmandu - Pakistan has announced that it supports Iran's right to use nuclear energy peacefully. Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said in a joint program with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, who was recently visiting Pakistan, that Pakistan agrees with Iran's right to achieve peaceful nuclear power, according to the BBC.

Prime Minister Sharif condemned the recent Israeli attack on Iran and praised Iran's readiness to defend itself. Iranian President Pazakhstani said that Israel is pursuing an agenda of instability and that Muslim countries need to unite for peace. The two leaders shared a common vision of combating terrorism and committed to promoting regional peace and prosperity, the report said.

According to the Associated Press of Pakistan, Pakistan and Iran have signed 12 agreements and memorandums of understanding covering areas including trade, agriculture, science, technology, information and communication, innovation, and maritime security. These agreements are expected to further strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries.
