Aug 04, Kathmandu - CPN-Maoist Center Vice President Agni Sapkota has said that leader Janardan Sharma has said that he will sign the minutes of the standing committee meeting. However, Sapkota says that he did not sign the minutes during the meeting itself.
Speaking to media persons on Monday after the four-day Maoist Standing Committee meeting, Sapkota said that there was a very open and frank discussion on the issue of Janardan Sharma.
"The discussion was conducted with a very comradely spirit. He has said that he will sign the minutes," Sapkota said. "He has felt a little bit about what the Standing Committee and the Chairman said in the meeting. He has not criticized himself for the statement he made on Shrawan 6th. But it is a matter of continuing the discussion."
Leader Sapkota said that although there was talk in the market about the Maoists splitting up, all such talk has been dismissed. He also said that the meeting was successful in ensuring that the party is now united, which is a matter of pride.
