Aug 05, Kathmandu - Highways and rural roads in Palpa have been blocked due to rain. A landslide with rocks has blocked the road in the Siddhwawa area of the Palpa-Butwal section of the Siddhartha Highway.
The road in the Siddhababa area has been opening and closing due to landslides since Monday. Police have said that the road has been blocked due to landslides in the Siddhababa area since Tuesday morning. The road was blocked from both sides after a landslide containing large rocks and mud fell from the road near the Siddhababa temple. The Dobhan Police Post has said that the landslide will be cleared and the road will be opened only after the rain stops.
Similarly, the Aryabhanjyang-Rampur road has also been blocked due to landslides, according to the Aryabhanjyang Police Post. The District Police Office, Palpa, has stated that the road has also been blocked due to landslides in Malmung on the Hartok Ridi road section of the Tansen Tamghas Sub-district Highway. It has been raining in Palpa for three days.
