Aug 09, Kathmandu - Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that Nepal has benefited from electricity trade by Rs. 4.5 billion. Prime Minister Oli said today through social media that Nepal has benefited from electricity trade by Rs. 4.5 billion this year.
"We have succeeded in generating a profit of four and a half billion rupees this year (exporting electricity worth four and a half billion rupees more than imports). We have been reducing the amount of electricity imported," Prime Minister Oli said.
Prime Minister Oli has mentioned that although load shedding was eliminated in the past for general electricity consumption, power cuts were still being experienced in industries, and now the flow of electricity has been increased in industries as well.
