Aug 28, Kathmandu - Two people sleeping in a hut were crushed to death by rocks falling from a cliff, while another was injured. According to police, they died on the spot.

Nim Khanal, 35, of Churkholi Tole in Panchadeval Binayak Municipality-8, Selapani, and Kabita, the seven-year-old daughter of Gore Bhandari of Mangalsen Municipality-6, died this morning after being crushed by a stone while they were sleeping in their hut, said District Police Office Chief Om Prakash Khanal. Kabita's mother, who was injured in the incident, has been sent to a local health post for treatment.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Khanal said that a team led by Police Inspector Tek Bahadur Deuba from the District Police Office has left for the incident site.
