Nepali Short Film 'Rihanna' To Have World Premiere In Busan

Aug 31, Kathmandu - Nepali short film ‘Rihanna’ is set to have its world premiere at the Busan International Film Festival.

According to the festival’s website, the film will premiere in the ‘Asian Short Film Competition’ category. The premiere will be held on the 5th and 6th (September 21-22) according to Nepali dates.

Producer Kedar Bhusal said that this achievement continues the efforts to bring Nepali stories to the world.

He said, "We are working with the goal of presenting different stories from Nepal in different genres and taking them to the world. This selection has given me even greater encouragement and inspiration."

The film, produced by A Dumsi Pictures Productions, is in collaboration with Miraj Motion Pictures, Underground Talkies, and Picture Frame.

Written and directed by Suraj Poudel. Prithu Bhatt and Srijana Adhikari play the lead roles. The film is produced by Ujjwal Bastakoti, Avinash Bikram Shah and Kedar Bhusal.

Roshni Adhikari is the executive producer. The film, which has cinematography by Shishir Bishankhe, is edited by Gaurav Mullick.
