Sep 01, Kathmandu - Three people have gone missing after a car fell into a river in Darchula.
The auto fell into a river on Monday afternoon on the Gokuleshwor Hopari inner road section near Saukebazar, Ward No. 5, Naugad Rural Municipality.
The auto (number plate) Ma 1 Ha 1148, which was heading towards Masine Bagar from Hopari Gad, lost control and fell into the river about 50 meters below the road.
There were five people in the auto, including the driver. The identities of the three missing people have not been revealed. 16-year-old Ayush Bhul, who sustained an injury to his right hand, was taken to Gokuleshwar Bazaar for treatment.
According to Darchula Chief District Officer Anil Poudel, a search is underway for the missing persons. Police have taken the driver into custody.
