Sep 09, Kathmandu - Gen-Z protesters have set more than 900 prisoners free from Kaski Prison. The police, who had tightened security at the prison in the afternoon, returned in the evening. After that, Gen-Z protesters entered the prison. Police have said that more than 900 prisoners have been released from there.

According to the Kaski Prison, there were 981 prisoners there. Gen-Z protesters have set fire to most of the government offices in Kaski.

Similarly, 124 prisoners from Tulsipur Prison have escaped. They broke through the main gate of the prison around 5 pm.

After trying to break down the gate while making a commotion inside the prison, the security personnel deployed for security opened fire in the air, but they managed to escape, said the prison chief, Gir Bahadur Sejuwal.

Out of a total of 179 prisoners housed in one block, 124 escaped by breaking into the prison, but another 55 remained inside the prison, saying they would not go, said prison chief Sejuwal.
