Sep 12, Kathmandu - The Nepal Army has recovered weapons that were looted from police personnel during the Gen-Z movement in Kathmandu. The weapons, which were taken by protesters, were originally held by police and security personnel during demonstrations across the country on September 7 and 8 (Bhadra 23-24).

A person from Marin-4, Sindhuli District, who had stolen a 9mm Chinese pistol from the Nepal Police during the protests, handed over the weapon to the Nepal Army’s patrol team stationed in Dallu, Kathmandu, the Army confirmed.

To date, a total of 268 weapons, including firearms, have been recovered from various locations across the country, according to the Nepal Army.

The Army, Nepal Police, and Armed Police Force have issued public notices urging individuals to submit any looted or recovered weapons to the security authorities for proper handling.

It is also noted that most police stations nationwide have been damaged during the Gen-Z movement.
