Sep 23, Kathmandu - Kathmandu Metropolitan City has distributed ambulances to rural municipalities in remote areas.

On Tuesday, in the first phase, ambulances were distributed to 35 rural municipalities across the country that were selected based on criteria, informed Kathmandu Metropolitan City Health Department Chief Deepak Kumar KC.

He said that after seeking applications for ambulance distribution, well-equipped ambulances were provided based on the criteria after reviewing the applications received from various local levels.

He informed that all seven provinces were included in the distribution of ambulances.

The metropolis has stated that transparent criteria have been set for ambulance distribution and priority has been given to areas that are backward due to lack of health facilities.
