Harka Sampang Submits Application to the Commission for Party Registration

Sep 28, Kathmandu - Dharan Sub-metropolitan City Mayor Harka Sampang has filed an application with the Election Commission for the registration of a political party. A high-ranking source in the Commission has stated that he filed an application with the Commission on Ashwin 27 for the registration of a party named ‘Shram Sanskriti Party’. The source says that the application for party registration was submitted with him as the chairman.

Similarly, senior advocate Surendra Bhandari has also filed an application with the Commission for the registration of Nepal Nagarik Party with himself as the coordinator. Bhandari filed an application with the Commission on Aswin 27.

An application for the registration of Ujjyalo Nepal Party has also been filed at the beginning of the current fiscal year. The application for the registration of the party was filed with the Commission on 27th Shrawan.

The Commission has stated that it is currently investigating the three applications for party registration filed in the current fiscal year. The Commission is studying the applications received to see whether the required evidence is available according to the Act and Regulations on Political Party Registration.

If the application is not available or if the details need to be corrected, the Commission will write to the applicant for the registration of the party concerned for corrections and amendments. If the application is submitted after completing the process, the party will be registered. There is a legal provision that the commission must register the party within 45 days of submitting the application.
