Sep 28, Kathmandu - The Ministry of Health and Population has directed hospitals to continue to operate their services during the upcoming long holidays of Dashain, Nepal Sambat, Tihar and Chhath.
The ministry has issued a press release urging the Institute of Health Sciences, Federal Hospitals and other health institutions to organize the necessary manpower and resources to operate services, even partially, to prevent patients from having to wait for a long time for treatment due to the long holidays.
According to the directive, services such as essential services, emergency treatment and surgery will continue to operate as usual.
Wishing a speedy recovery to all those injured and undergoing treatment during the protests on Bhadra 23 and 24, the ministry has expressed gratitude for the contribution made by health institutions during that time.
In addition, the ministry has expressed confidence that hospitals will continue to provide services during the upcoming festivals.
The ministry has stated that it expects the cooperation of all stakeholders in this implementation.
