Oct 01, Kathmandu - Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Kulman Ghising, conducted an inspection of the B.P. Highway on Wednesday. The visit was aimed at assessing traffic flow and the condition of the damaged road sections in preparation for the heavy movement of vehicles expected during the upcoming Dashain festival.
The Minister was accompanied by the Director-General of the Department of Roads and relevant project officials.
The inspection focused on approximately 30.5 kilometers of the road that sustained damage.
Currently, maintenance and repair work is underway, and temporary arrangements have been made to keep the traffic moving. However, officials noted that the road still faces periodic disruptions and blockages, particularly during rainfall.
