Oct 05, Kathmandu - At least 14 people have been confirmed dead following severe floods and landslides that struck various parts of Ilam district last night.

While the exact count is still being officially confirmed by police, the District Police Office, Ilam, stated that preliminary information indicates 14 fatalities due to the landslides across the district. Local municipal bodies, however, have reported a higher toll of 18 deaths.
