Helicopter Crash in California, USA, Three Seriously Injured

Oct 07, Kathmandu - Three people were seriously injured in a helicopter crash in Sacramento, California, on Monday night.

The Sacramento Fire Department said the helicopter was a medical helicopter and the pilot, nurse and paramedic were injured. There were no patients on board.

The helicopter went down near 59th Street while en route from UC Davis Medical Center to Redding.

The helicopter crashed on Highway 50. Rescue workers said one person was trapped under the helicopter.

Fifteen people near the scene helped rescuers free the injured. The injured were taken to local hospitals.

The helicopter did not hit any other vehicles.

Traffic was stopped after the helicopter crashed on the highway. Authorities said it would be impassable for some time.
