Free Insurance for 140 Members of Martyrs' Families

Oct 07, Kathmandu - The provincial government, in coordination with the Madhesi Foundation, has provided free health insurance to the families of 140 people who were martyred during the Madhesh movement.

According to the foundation's chairman, Shubham Yadav, 24 people are yet to be insured. The foundation aims to insure all 1,06 people who were injured or disabled in the movement carried out by Madhesh and the then CPN-Maoist.

The provincial government has been providing Rs 3,500 insurance premium to five members of the martyr's family through the foundation.
